In this course, you will learn the different factors affecting Facility location planning including examples. You will also learn about the different methods which can help in identification of most optimal location of a business facility like corporate office, retail stores, manufacturing facility etc. The right location of a facility plays a pivotal role in determining the success of operations and profitability of the facility. For example, if a manufacturing facility is located at a place where proper raw material or labor is not available, then the location will not be able to run smoothly. Similarly, if a retail outlet/store is at a location where the customers do not need the products, then the store will not be able to run profitably.
